Product description

The ConvaTec Flexi-Seal SIGNAL Faecal Management System (418000) is a temporary containment device for immobilised, bedridden patients with liquid or semi-liquid stool. It safely diverts and contains faecal matter, helping protect sacral and peri-anal wounds from contamination and reducing the risk of skin breakdown and the spread of infection.

The soft silicone catheter has a low-pressure retention balloon that sits in the rectum and a connector for the collection bag at the other end. The SIGNAL indicator gives a clear visual cue to help prevent overfilling, and a patented blue finger pocket eases insertion. Each kit contains 1 soft silicone catheter assembly, 1 syringe and 3 charcoal-filtered (odour-control) collection bags. Flexi-Seal is proven in vitro to help contain the spread of C. difficile.
